Hello! Welcome to my new online home.
I’m Hannah, mummy to my two precious children – a daughter born in autumn 2005 and a son born in autumn 2009 – and wife to my amazing hubby.
I’ve had various blogs over the years, most of which suit me for a season then my life changes and I grow out of the name or style. This time I think I’ve found something I can stick with – cake, coffee and chat will always be a part of me! All three of them help through the ups and downs of life, and there have definitely been those and there is no doubt there will be more.
Our daughter was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome (an autism spectrum disorder) in 2012, during the consultation it was pointed out by the paediatrician that my husband has it too. It explains so many of their quirks. They wouldn’t be who they are without this side of them.
When reading about starting blogs the advice is often to have a theme to your blog, whether it’s parenting, fashion, food or crafting (or anything else you can think of), in order to develop a following and fit in a niche. However, this isn’t me. My blog will be about the things that interest me, or that I’ve been thinking about, whether it’s something I’ve done, read or seen. This is my space on the web to be me and hence, in some ways, to be self-centred. I will write about things I want to write about.
